Here are the notes I took when configuring my Sony RM-VL600 universal remote.

TV Mode
1 = HDMI-1
2 = HDMI-2
3 = HDMI-3
4 = HDMI-4
5 = Component 1
6 = Component 2
7 = AV1
8 = AV2
9 = JVC Receiver on
ENT = Samsung TV on
. = Media Center

Tape Mode
1 = JVC Receiver off
2 = Samsung TV off

Component Select
A = TV, ENT, 3, AMP, 3, SAT (TV)
B = TV, ENT, 3, AMP, 9 (Wii)
C = TV, ENT, 3, AMP, 1, CD (WDTV)
D = TV, ENT, 3, AMP, 0, DVD, Play (DVD)

To reset a component select: Press and hold Set and then hold D until the light goes off.
To learn a component select: Press and hold Set, and then D, let go of both. The light will stay on.
