Linux + Printers

My boss got a new laser printer and gave me his old one. I brought it in to our test lab to hook up to my Fedora Core 2 machine. Loaded up the printer configuration utility and it pretty much detected everything out of the box. All I had to do was type in the name I wanted it to use and print a test page. I love how Linux has a pretty big printer database built in. No need to download drivers, and install vendor specific stuff. It works out of the box.
